I was emailed a link from a user this morning (Thanks Brooke) about this photography blog by Colie Parks called Thank U Very Little. Immediately you see a very nice black and white photo of two shoes and the eastern bell sounds of Lullatone playing in the background. I’m instantly excited when I scan and see the words Yashica and Medium Format in bold below every photo. Colie takes photos in a narrative story line. Almost like a self-biography through selected versions of eyes. Because of the medium format and beautifully ancient camera, the photos all have a grunge touch to them. Colie’s photos aren’t spectacular, they aren’t going to make you want to spend any money on Darfur or anything like that. But they are amazing simply because of their story. The paragraphs to follow each image get you that much more connected to the concept, idea and emotion envoloping the photographer with each passing post.
