By now I think it’s safe to say that Frank Miller has come and gone. We’ve all seen Sin City, the unfortunate few who have seen the Spirit I must extend my sympathy towards. But the art of comic illustration is far from dead. I still don’t understand why more people who ‘like art’ don’t read today’s comics. They are amazing well illustrated. To get to the point, Connor Willumsen is an incredible comic illustrative artist. His style goes beyond that of generic comics and is pushed into the grey area of fine art and illustration. Recently he has started posting PDF versions of his comic on his site and while some may seem lackluster in the illustrations, they have an incredible depth to their concept. Within his illustrations he embeds a painterly color feel with the classic exaggerated lines and poses.
